AuctionBargain.com – Refund Policy

Last updated: 14 November 2025

Refunds on AuctionBargain.com are processed according to each merchant’s refund policy and applicable consumer protection laws. As a multi-vendor marketplace, all products are offered and fulfilled directly by independent third-party merchants. Refunds are initiated and approved by the merchant once a valid return, cancellation, or claim has been verified.

Confidia Limited, as the payment platform operator, facilitates the refund process but does not determine refund eligibility or directly issue refunds unless required under a dispute-resolution outcome.

Refund Eligibility

A refund may be issued in the following situations:

– The product is defective, damaged, or not as described
– The merchant fails to ship the item within the stated timeframe
– The order is cancelled before shipment
– The merchant agrees to accept a return under their store policy
– The customer’s claim is verified through the AuctionBargain.com dispute-resolution process
– Refunds for change-of-mind reasons depend entirely on the merchant’s posted return/refund policy

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may not be available in cases such as:

– Change-of-mind purchases where the merchant does not accept returns
– Items returned used, damaged, or without original packaging (unless required by law)
– Products listed as non-returnable by the merchant
– Digital goods or services once delivered or activated
– Items lost or damaged during return shipping when packaging instructions or trackable shipping were not followed (unless the merchant assumes responsibility)

How Refunds Are Processed

If a refund is approved, it will be issued using the same payment method originally used, whenever possible. This includes:

– BPAY (Australia)
– PromptPay QR (Thailand)
– Local bank transfers
– International cards
– Open Banking–enabled methods (as available)

Refund Timelines

Refund processing times vary depending on the method:

– Bank transfers and local payment rails: typically 1–7 business days
– Cards: 5–15 business days depending on the issuing bank
– Open Banking transfers: may clear faster depending on the buyer’s bank

Disputes and Buyer Protection

If a buyer cannot resolve an issue directly with the merchant, AuctionBargain.com provides a dispute-resolution process. Confidia may place a temporary hold on merchant settlements during an investigation.

Settlement payments may be delayed or reversed if:

– Fraud is suspected
– A dispute is active
– Evidence supports the buyer’s claim
– Required by law or regulatory authorities
